At our school we use My Happy Mind, a whole-school programme that supports children’s mental health, resilience and emotional wellbeing. The programme helps children understand how their brains work and teaches them practical strategies to manage their emotions, build positive relationships and develop confidence.
My Happy Mind is based on scientific research into how the brain works and supports children in developing lifelong habits that help them feel happy, confident and ready to learn.
Through My Happy Mind, children learn that their mental health is just as important as their physical health and they are encouraged to talk openly about their feelings in a safe and supportive environment.
The My Happy Mind Modules
Children work through five core modules each year:

Appreciate
Children develop an ‘attitude for gratitude’ and learn to focus on the positive things in their lives.
Relate

Supporting Wellbeing at Home
Parents and carers can support their children at home through the My Happy Mind Parent App, which provides activities and guidance linked to the learning in school.
By working together, we aim to support every child in becoming happy, confident and emotionally resilient learners.
