Headteacher’s Full Message

We would like to welcome you to our school website. We hope you have time to explore it and get a real flavour of some of the fantastic activities our children experience; as well as being able to access regularly updated information for parents/carers and children.

Delves Lane Primary is a Rights Respecting School.  Our children have the right to the best education.  At Delves Lane Primary School, children recognise their rights but also acknowledge the rights of others.  We know that children who feel respected and proud of themselves will always try their best.

Our curriculum is driven by a determination that all children will be able to read.  We view reading as a ‘golden thread’ which is woven throughout the entirety of the curriculum as is it a necessary skill required to access the content in all subjects.

We believe in making education ‘hands on’ as well as meaningful. Academic success is really important to us and is best achieved through a broad and balanced curriculum.  Our children’s own community, its heritage and traditions. are an integral part of the curriculum we offer to our children at Delves Lane Primary School.

We strive to develop enthusiastic learners and value every child’s success across all subjects and areas of learning.  We have designed our curriculum with the intent that all children must have the knowledge and skills to become successful adults in terms of being able to gain employment, live healthy lifestyles and become moral citizens.

Our team of experienced and committed staff have the highest aspirations for all children who attend Delves Lane Primary School.

Please take the time to see what our children get up to at Delves Lane Primary School by browsing our Facebook account.  Thank you to parents and carers who have chosen Delves Lane Primary for their child’s education.

As you browse our website and Facebook page, I am sure you will find lots to interest you and if you’ve not visited us yet, please get in touch to book an appointment and come for a visit to our lovely school. We have extensive grounds, inviting classrooms, wonderful children and our fabulous team of staff look forward to meeting you.
