Recently a group of boys and girls from Year 6 took part in the Sainsbury’s School Games Sportshall Athletics Competition. This competition involved many schools from across Derwentside competing over the course of two days in a range of track and field events including sprints, relays, jumps and throws. As expected, the level of competition was very high but all involved had a fantastic time and performed excellently throughout. Team Delves were excellent ambassadors for our school and once again showed great sportsmanship, thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to cheer on one another. Our school finished in a close 3rd place on the day to take home bronze medals with various children winning both team and individual events. Well done to all the children who took part!
