Recently our boys’ football team took part in the Daniel O’Hare Memorial Trophy held at Pelton Community Primary School in Chester-Le-Street. This is the first time a team from Delves Lane has competed in this competition after qualifying to take part by winning the Derwentside Davison Cup earlier this term. As expected, the level of football was very high with some of the best teams from across County Durham taking part and, although results did not go the way we had hoped, the team played fantastically throughout. They should be very proud of the way they performed, showing great team spirit and determination and were excellent representatives for both Delves Lane and Derwentside. Well done to all those who took part!
