Today was world book day and to celebrate this event the children of Class 7 undertook many fun literary based activities. Children were also encouraged to bring in a reading book from home and throughout the day children were given time to read their books both with friends and members of staff.
One of these activities was a visit by a special story teller who shared many fantastic stories with the children. The children were then asked by our special guest to make a character (the scary monster) from one of her stories using craft materials. The children had great fun creating amazing yet slightly terrifying monsters!
During the day the children also had the opportunity to try out Samba Drumming. A style of drumming originating from Brazil. The children got to play many different drum instruments with teaching from an expert drummer to help them learn.
